F.C. Hancox Foam has been a family run business since 1960. Fred Hancox started the Upholstery supply business in 1960 and opened the first shop in Bournemouth in 1971, previous to that Fred was an Upholster from a young age. Richard Hancox who now runs F.C. Hancox, started working alongside his dad Fred when he was a young boy, ripping out chairs, and helping on the Lymington market stall that he ran every Saturday. Richard Hancox started working in the shop in 1985 and then saw the potential to expand the supplying side of the business and moved into their first unit in 1996. The business grew, seeing new customers from all over the south of England, and is now one of the longest standing and experienced suppliers of Foam and Upholstery Supplies on the south coast.
