Theatre foam is at its most versatile when it comes to creating great scenery. It has the added bonus of being lightweight too, so your stagehands can easily move the set between acts and scenes.

Theatre foam blocks

Foam arrives in our warehouse in large blocks and sheets, so we can cut them into all kinds of shapes. Stage and set designers have used foam for all manner of props, such as walls, doors, tree stumps, gravestones, the possibilities are limitless. We know that there are incredibly talented set designers able to craft foam into realistic-looking props. However, what we at F.C. Hancox can do is to cut the basic shape ready for the designer to work their magic, adding paint and other materials. Once the piece has been created it may look like a Roman column, but it will be lightweight and easy for the stagehands to move around. Ordering is simple, just select a shape nearest to what your design needs, enter dimensions, select your foam. Theatre Foam Sheets

We have seen foam sheets cut into brick and stone shapes, adhered to heavy cardboard or lightweight ply, and painted to look like a wall. A great alternative to painted board and with a 3D effect.
