Garden Foam Kneeling Pads

Many of us like nothing more than getting out into our gardens and would agree that garden foam kneeling pads help considerably when getting down to planting or weeding. Gardening is good for our well-being and mental health but kneeling, whether on hard standing or on a grassed area can make knees sore so a kneeling pad is something many of us use. Whilst there are many commercial varieties available it is possible to replace the foam of an existing pad or indeed make your own garden foam kneeling pad.

At F.C. Hancox, we have a variety of foams suitable for use in the garden, in fact, all our foams could be used if the cover is waterproof. If you specifically require waterproof foam, then our Calipore outdoor foam fits the bill. Calipore foam is designed to allow water to drain through and has anti-bacterial properties which prevent mould.  As with all our foams, Calipore outdoor foam can be cut to any shape or size. Another option for garden foam kneeling pads would be our Chip foams, in either 6lb or 8lb – with the 8lb being the firmer option. These would need a waterproof cover.

If you are replacing an existing foam pad, then you will need to take measurements so that your new foam will fit snugly into the cover. Once you have your measurements, head to our foam cut to size page and begin your order by adding the shape and measurements of the foam. Choose the foam you want then you will have the choice of adding stockinette. This is inexpensive and can make it easier to insert the foam into the cover.

Of course, you may wish to make your own bespoke Garden Foam Kneeling Pads.  We would suggest a strong, waterproof fabric for the cover. Once you have your cover made it’s just a matter of buying the foam.
